After praising Almighty Allah and His beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (Suallu Alaihi Wa Aalehi Wassalam (SAWAW), the word "Qalandar" means "A Sufi Saint having sound relation with Almighty Allah and total departure from world and worldly status". Some people say: "A Qalandar is somewhat away from Shariah" which is totally wrong doctrine. This point needs deep consideration that who has sound relations with Almighty Allah, the Creator of the Universe, is follower of Shariah. It will not be out of place to mention that the Personaoity of Qalandar is himself a Shariah. A Qalandar enjoys great dignity and excellence but virtue of his sound belief in and true love with the Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAWAW) and his Ahle Bait(AS). A Muslim majority say: there are only 1-1/2 Qalandars: (1) Hadrat Boo Ali Qalandar(RA), (2) Hadrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar(RA) and (3) Hadrat Rabia Basri Qalandar. Hadrat Rabia Basri(RA) is considered to be half Qalandar being woman. Anyway, different Muslims keep different thoughts about Qalandar which is their own imagination.

It is a common phenomenon that a person standing river bank cannot ascertain from where the river is deep and from where less deep and from where not deep unless he plunge into the river to practically know the depth of river. Likewise, a person who is not eye witness of any accident cannot spell out the truth of the accident. A listener of the story of accident cannot be called eye witness. Therefore, it is openly stated that Qalandar is a Personality who is eye witness of the Oneness of Almighty Allah and creation of the Universe. Continues
